This professional HD camcorder is compact and works great in situations where larger broadcast cameras would be impractical. We try to remain as unobtrusive as possible and we don’t want our equipment to pose as a distraction.


The GY-HM100U records onto SDHC memory cards. This omits the need for the cumbersome mini-DV/HDV tapes. The cost of tape stock really adds up and we’ve saved a great deal of money switching to the tapeless media. We are happy to pass those savings along to our customers!

Audio is always 50% of the project and the Sennheiser ME66 (w/ the K6 power module) is a great compliment to the JVC camcorder. This unidirectional shotgun microphone attaches directly to the camera and picks up quiet signals in noisy or acoustically live environments. We’ve been using this unit since 2001 and it’s really developed into an industry standard. While technology is always evolving, it’s nice to have a set piece of equipment that always gets the job done.
